This map helps you see which London attractions are close to each other. Zoom into one area, tap a marker and plan around the places you most want to enter. A map pin shows a location; it does not tell you whether an attraction is open or whether you need a ticket.
Plan by area instead of crossing London repeatedly
- Westminster and South Bank: Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the London Eye can form one sightseeing route. Visiting inside several paid attractions will take much longer than walking past them.
- The City and riverside: The Tower of London and Tower Bridge work well together. If you continue west along the river towards Borough Market, Shakespeare’s Globe and St Paul’s Cathedral, allow time for the walk and any booked visits.
- South Kensington: The Natural History Museum, Science Museum and V&A South Kensington are close enough to combine in one area. Pick one or two to explore properly rather than assuming you can see every collection in a day.
Before you set off: Check official opening hours, any timed entry and the journey between your chosen stops. TfL’s Journey Planner can show a route and step-free options. Our London attractions guide explains the individual sights; for a day-by-day route, see our three-day itinerary.

Hi, we are Alberto and Amy, the London locals behind PlanTrip London. We’ve lived in London since 2010 and have spent every year since exploring the city, from its famous landmarks to the markets, pubs, parks and hidden corners most visitors never find. Over the years we became the go-to trip planners for friends and family visiting London, so we created this site to share the same first-hand, tried-and-tested advice with you. Every itinerary, tip and recommendation here comes from our own experience with our two children, so you can plan a London trip that’s easier, better value and far more memorable.
