Use our map to see where London’s markets are and plan a visit that fits the rest of your day. Tap a marker for its location, then check the market’s own opening days before you travel: stalls and hours can change, especially around holidays.
Choose a market by what you want to do
- Food: Borough Market is a good choice if you want a meal or produce near London Bridge. Check Borough Market’s current opening information before going.
- Street food and alternative shops: Camden Market gives you plenty to explore around Camden Lock; you can pair it with a walk along Regent’s Canal. The market generally operates throughout the week, but individual traders vary.
- Antiques and vintage: Portobello Road is best known for its busy Saturday market. Check the trading day if antiques are the reason for your visit.
- Crafts and gifts: Greenwich Market can fit into a visit to the Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark or riverside.
- Sunday plans: Columbia Road Flower Market is a Sunday market; Brick Lane is another area to explore on a Sunday.
Planning tip: Group markets by neighbourhood instead of trying to cross the city for several in one morning. Borough and nearby Bankside work well together; Brick Lane and Old Spitalfields are another natural pairing. If you are travelling with a pushchair or need step-free transport, use TfL Journey Planner to check the complete route.

Hi, we are Alberto and Amy, the London locals behind PlanTrip London. We’ve lived in London since 2010 and have spent every year since exploring the city, from its famous landmarks to the markets, pubs, parks and hidden corners most visitors never find. Over the years we became the go-to trip planners for friends and family visiting London, so we created this site to share the same first-hand, tried-and-tested advice with you. Every itinerary, tip and recommendation here comes from our own experience with our two children, so you can plan a London trip that’s easier, better value and far more memorable.
