Mercato Mayfair

Mercato Mayfair is a spectacular food market a few minutes walk from Oxford Street in central London.

Being located inside a church makes it a unique experience. It is a place frequented by londoners and local workers. Tourism guides don’t usually include this market, but we wanted to include it in our guide as we think it is conveniently located in central London.

Where is Mercato Mayfair in London

Mercato Mayfair is inside St Mark’s church in Mayfair, a few minutes walk from Oxford Street, very close to Selfridges department store.

It is located between Bond Street and Marble Arch tube stations in Transport Zone 1 of London.

When to go to Mercato Mayfair

We believe that Mercato Mayfair is perfect for lunch or dinner, as it can be relatively quick and informal if you are visiting London. It is also perfect to go with children, they have high chairs, and changing facilities for babies, which is always good to know!

It’s also an option for coffee and a sweet in the afternoon if you need to refuel while visiting London.

For those of us who live here, it is one of the places we go to for different events during the year, for example, they usually put up giant screens to watch football matches.

What will you find at Mercato Mayfair

As soon as you enter, you will see a seating area in the centre of the main hall on the ground floor. There are numerous food stalls on both sides on the ground floor and the top floor.

There is also a basement, where you will a brewery. And there is also a beautiful roof terrace upstairs, perfect for those summer evenings.

You can order food at different stalls and sit at one of the tables in the centre or go up to the terrace. If you are in London with the kids, it is a great place as you can order pizza for the kids, and grown-ups can try one of the numerous dishes available.
