Out of all the European cities, London probably has the most tourist attractions, landmarks, and places of interest to visit on a city break. With so much to see, there’s little chance of getting bored, but visiting lots of attractions can be expensive, and it can take a lot of time to compare all the different ticket options and availability. Therefore, buying one of London´s tourist passes can be a cost-effective option to help you discover more of the city for less money.

The main benefit of a London tourist pass is that it enables you to visit the best of London’s attractions with one single ticket, tailored for the number of days you will be in the city. There are currently several London sightseeing passes available, so to make your decision easier, we’ve compiled a list of what each one includes, the different ticket types available, their prices and, of course, our recommendations.

    Go City London Explorer Pass

What is Go City Explorer Pass?

At first glance, the Go City London Explorer Pass looks the same as the London Pass. However, this London sightseeing pass does work differently and, in our opinion, it can offer more flexibility and better value than the London Pass, so it’s one of our favourite London Tourist Passes to be honest.

    London Tourist Passes

With the London Explorer Pass, you get to choose which attractions you’d like to visit out of a total of 20. It offers the option to buy a package of 3, 5 or 7 attractions, giving you more flexibility to tailor the pass to your own needs. The pass is valid for 30 days from first use, and it will save you over 40% if you compare its price to buying tickets to enter all the attractions separately.

Our recommendation is that if you’re going to be in London for a couple of days, buy the pass with 3 attractions, or if you’re going to be in London for 4 or 5 days, then buy the 5 or 7 attractions. That way you can take your time to enjoy each one rather than running from one attraction to the next.

You can buy the London Explorer Pass online to print out at home or download their app after buying the Pass online and use an online version.

What Attractions Are Included in the Go City London Explorer Pass?

The Go City London Explorer Pass includes the following attractions:

    • London Eye
    • St Paul’s Cathedral
    • Sea Life London Aquarium
    • Westminster Abbey
    • Madame Tussauds wax museum
    • Tower Bridge Exhibition
    • 1-Day London hop-on hop-off bus tour
    • The London Dungeon
    • Churchill War Rooms
    • HMS Belfast
    • Shrek’s Adventure
    • Royal Albert Hall
    • Hampton Court Palace
    • Kew Gardens
    • London Eye hop-on hop-off river cruise
    • Shakespeare’s Globe Exhibition and Theatre Tour
    • Royal Observatory Greenwich
    • Cutty Sark
    • Wembley Stadium tour
    • Chelsea FC stadium tour
    • Meal at Planet Hollywood restaurant

How much is the Go City London Explorer Pass?

The price of the Go City London Explorer Pass varies depending on the number of attractions you would like to visit, and if the ticket is for an adult or a child aged 5 to 15. These are the prices for the Go City London Explorer Pass:

Number of attractions Adult Child (5-15)
    2 attractions £49 £35
    3 attractions £62 £44
    4 attractions £76 £49
    5 attractions £94 £62
    6 attractions £112 £76
    7 attractions £125 £85

Buy  Go City London Explorer Pass

    London Tourist Passes

Less known as one of London’s tourist passes, the London City Pass is also a good option if you want to visit several attractions. It is valid for 7 days from the date you specify, and the attractions that you can visit are very similar to those included with the London Pass. You can have the attractions pass sent to your home address or a London pick-up location (if you do not include the Oyster Card option). However, you can’t use it on your mobile phone.

If can take up to 14 days to receive the London City Pass after ordering it so our advice is if you can’t order this attraction pass well in advance, you’re better off picking one of the other 2 London attraction passes above.

For the city passes, once purchased can you use the pass to purchase a particular attraction in advance, i.e. particular day and or time?
